TWF SON OF A JUDGE (ApHC #656531) “Sonny” 2008 Varnish Roan Appaloosa Chestnut Gelding. 15.2 hands. Has a nice handle on him, supple, moves off leg/seat, side passes, pivots, good stop, has been hauled a lot, camping, highline, lots of trails. Athletic horse, not hot but also not lazy (can get jiggy/prancy when animated at times but stays right in your hand), very responsive and ready to go any direction. Recommend intermediate+ rider as he can test people in the arena setting trying to get out of doing the work. On trail he travels out great and has led and followed but if faced with tricky technical ground he can have a "moment" where he doesn't know where to place his feet and gets nervous and jello-legged. On more mild trails, washes and wide-open areas he hasn't displayed that lack of confidence. Easy keeper in a stall or on pasture/turnout and does well with other horses (middle of the pack but still on the lower end). Lots of exposure to quads, dirt bikes, dogs, traffic etc. and not bothered by much. Well put together with good bone and foot. Currently half-shod. Loads straight or slant trailers, great for farrier, bathes, UTD on vaccines, deworming, farrier, & dental.
