13 YO 14HH Bay Azteca Gelding. Huge motor, 3 correct gaits and a heavenly canter. Has been slowly and carefully re-started after a career as a dancing horse. Plenty of arena, trail, and clinic miles. Absolutely excels at trail obstacle and mounted police-type work, does not care about tarps, flags, umbrellas, flares, gunshots, etc. Very safe, no buck, bolt, bite, kick, or rear. Loads, clips, ties, bathes, stands for vet and farrier. UTD on vacc, worming, dental, etc.
Recently started over fences and is careful and brave with plenty of scope. Needs a smaller rider who won’t be intimidated by his power and athleticism, and would need to be in a training program with consistent work. Not totally green but not totally finished under saddle and can still get anxious based on his previous experiences in life. Goes well bitless but has carried a Happy Mouth French link.
Friendliest horse in the world and I’m not exaggerating. LOVES other horses and can stand playing kissy-face and take-my-flymask-off all day. A home where he can live with other horses is going to be a must. He deserves it. Loves people, strange horses, dogs, pigs, goats, will come up and greet anyone. Loves to play tug-o-war and “help” with things like putting jumps away or putting up dressage numbers.
This guy is just larger than life and everyone’s favorite and if he were even a hand taller I’d keep him forever. But as you can see I’m 6’1” and he was always a project. It will break my heart to see him go. He’s so special.
