Fritz is a large (15.1hands at almost 3 yo) smart, talented Welsh Cob crossed with ISR warmblood mare. He is coming 3 yo in June and expected to be at least 15.2 hh+. He has been in six months of professional training with Gloria Bayer at Kavallerie Farms in McKinney, TX. He ties, loads, clips, bathes, lunges, ground drives, ponies and stands for farrier. He was started under saddle in March 2024 and currently has approximately 11 rides on him. He was originally planned to start under saddle in June when he turned 3 yo, but he was just ready for a new challenge besides being ponied and ground driven. He has been ponied down a county road with traffic and did well. His first few rides were inside and outside of an arena, being exposed to new terrain and objects. He has walk/trot and cantered under saddle. He is bold and fairly confident. However, he is young and green, so will need a confident, experienced rider. Not recommended for beginner.
He attended two Welsh Shows in 2024 and showed successfully. He was the grand champion in halter for all half/part Welsh at the Red River Spring Fling Pony Show in Sulfur Springs, TX in March 2024. He was first in class in the 2 & younger colts/gelding half/part Welsh class at the American National Welsh Show in Oklahoma in September 2024. He will attend the 2025 SC Red River/OKWPS Spring Fling Show #1 and #2 in March 2025.
His sire Castleberrys Echo was voted Welsh Stallion of the year in 2023 by WPCSA. His warmblood mother is registered in the International Sporthorse Registry and comes from jumping and dressage lines. Please contact owner Leah Norstrud at 214-868-2897 or trainer Gloria Bayer at 469-371-1877
