I sadly need to rehome my two Fjord horses. Saoirse is a 14 year old brown dun mare. She is great on the ground and under saddle. She’s the perfect horse and is an absolute unicorn. She has dressage training, does small jumps, and loves trails with a buddy. Albert is a 4 year old white dun gelding. He hasn’t been started yet, but is great on the ground and lunges well. It is very hard to let them go, but it’s what’s best for my situation. I have a series of priorities for finding a new home for them, so please contact me if you fit those priorities: 1) extensive turn out, preferably 24/7, but at least all day. The ideal home would have access to grazing and the ponies would have at least 5 acres to themselves or maybe one more horse. 2) access to plenty of quality hay when grazing isn’t possible. 3) rider is bitless or willing to learn. Saoirse had severe behavior issues until she went bitless and I would prefer Albert is trained the same way. 4) access to routine vet care and farrier every 8 weeks for trims. 5) they stay together is my top priority. 6) plan to keep them for life and willing to sign a first right of refusal.
