I sadly cannot afford to keep my sweet boy Riddler any longer, I just don't feel like I have enough time to devote to him, and am in search of a good home for him. This guy is so sweet and calm and just amenable to anything I want to do with him, very trainable. Of course he is still a stallion and will have moments depending on situation and proximity to mares, he neighs at my neighbors farm all the time talking to the mares. Never bred! just didn't have time or money to do it sadly. He let's me clamber up on his back just standing in the field, I trim his hooves in the field also with just a rope around his neck and he stands patiently. Has loaded on a trailer every time we've tried, loves to be groomed, enjoys a stall but has been a field horse for majority of his life. Have not saddled him yet but do not expect issues (will work on getting movement videos together to shar and maybe throw a saddle on to show how accepting/receptive he is to new things, hopefully this weekend!). My daughter loves to sit on his back and braid his hair, he loves to spend time with her, unfortunately she's a bit allergic. I just can't say enough to showcase how much potential this horse has, he can be bred and would make a fantastic addition to program with temperament and body type or he can be gelded and will probably be the most amazing gelding ever. Very athletic and versatile, and could be a show horse or a trail horse I believe. Only down side to this guy is that he needs to be on a tight farrier/trim schedule as his hoof walls flare pretty quickly, but I have never had him shod which I'm sure will help! I try to keep hoof paint on them which also helps, but hes never had a soundness issue because of it. He's never had an injury other than minor cuts, bumps/bruises and has never had to be seen by a vet other than routine visits. He is due for teeth floating or at least a check. Has been pastured with a donkey for company because the donkeys tough neck withstands the stallion play. He has been pastured with other geldings before but sometimes the stallion play got a little rough for the other guys, so some consideration will need to be taken as far as who his new friends will be, just to be safe! Curious to see how much interest there will be in him! I had such grand plans with him and I hope someone can give him the productive life he deserves♡ Riddler has been such a pleasure to have and be around, he's the kind of horse that gets into your soul, I will miss him dearly but am excited for his new journey!! (would really like to be able to keep in touch with whoever he goes with just so I can know he's doing good, if possible!) Please make me an offer, because I have no idea what number to put on him, he's priceless to me♡ Contact Info: Danielle dnh212@vt.edu (540)419-9625 texting is okay! I have spotty service at work and so feel free to send a text with a call back number
