4 year old liver chestnut Irish Sport Horse gelding (he has gotten darker every year as he sheds out.) **Not registered yet, but I do have all of the paperwork from the breeder to be able to get it done (happy to take a pic for proof, if wanted.) Currently about 15-15.2 hh (I don’t have a stick to measure accurately, but guessing based on his height compared to my stall/round pen panels.) Halters, leads, ties, has been hauled a few times and followed me into the trailer the last time with no issues. Okay about picking up feet. Sound. Very, very personable and curious, in your pocket type. If you go in the pasture, he’s going to come see what you’re up to! He loves to play in water, and swim if you happen to have a pond. I got him as a weanling, and due to my own issues with lack of facilities and then personal injuries, I haven’t been able to start him or do much ground work with him, so he is not broke yet and has had no tack on him other than the halter. I can no longer physically handle working with youngsters and starting horses, so I am heartbreakingly having to sell him to a home that can bring out his potential. He’s going to make someone a fantastic show horse, with beautiful gaits and natural desire to jump (I’ve seen him choose to jump something in the pasture instead of going around.) He’s smart and bold, tending to face and investigate things that are a little scary to him initially. I could see him excelling in eventing, fox hunting, dressage, working equitation, show jumping, and any number of other disciplines. He has a ¾ sibling that has done well in dressage. The sky’s the limit with this guy. Because of my physical issues, his feet need to be trimmed (I can get close pictures of those for anyone that wants them.) He has fantastic strong feet, they just need a trim. He’s not current on Coggins or vaccinations right now (I will pay for the Coggins and shots to be done before anyone purchases him.) PPE welcome.
