Jazzin Warpaint is a 7 year old overo paint horse standing at about 15.2 hands. She’s a horse who loves and needs a job. Jazz is mainly ridden western, but would look great with english gear as well. There’s potential for HUS as she has a nice smooth extended trot and cute canter.
Jazze has been exposed to quads, cars and trucks, tractors with implements, dirt bikes, lawnmowers, chainsaws, gunshots and lots of windy barn noises and trees falling down nearby. She is very curious about it all and usually does not run away unless it is too many of these at once. In the Spring/Summer of 2022 we started her with groundwork and very light riding with a trainer (she was a late starter) and then she had the winter off.
Spring and summer of 2023 we took Jazz to Tom Reed Horsemanship and he did a great job continuing her training and getting good solid W/T/C Stop and backing, and side passing. She did well on the obstacle course and enjoys the challenge. She will make an awesome trail Challenge mount. Pictures are from the trail challenge last fall at Rainbow Meadows Ranch in Rochester. She is a very forward horse and loves to move out.
Nobody has really ridden her for the last 5 months, and we are nearing retirement, so finishing off a green horse with lots of energy is not really on our agenda. Asking price is reflective of this and is only half of what we have invested in her. This is not a beginners horse nor a Husband horse, she is considered green and needs a person who can take her out and develop her talents. She is a nicely bred Paint, both parents are registered APHA but I was not able to obtain a breeders cert, I DO have photocopies of both Sire and Dams registration. But, you know the old saying….
