When In Rio ("Rio") is an 11 year old, 16.1 hand Thoroughbred gelding sired by Dove Hunt out of Royal Divorce Case by Gold Case. Rio has competed through the Preliminary level of eventing with his adult amateur owner. Rio has been in a professional training program most of his life with CCI**** rider Mary Bess Davis and would be best suited for a confident young rider or experienced adult amateur looking to compete Beginner Novice through Training level eventing. Recently ridden and leased (dressage, XC, show jumping, and trail riding) by a 60 year old adult amateur. Rio did have successful kissing spine surgery in April, 2019 and went on to compete Prelim. He is a blast to jump but could also easily succeed in a home with someone looking to ride/compete strictly dressage. Loads, ties, stands in cross-ties/wash stall, and for the farrier.
