We acquired this mare as a foal (not quite1 year old). We have done a ton of ground work with her and made a lot of progress, but have realized she is not going to work for what we want. Upsides; She has excellent breeding, is a beautiful mover, has a good brain on her, loves her people once you've earned her trust, gets along well with other horses, loads into a trailer like a dream, has good feet, and is very healthy. Downside, she needs to be sedated for rear hoof trimming (there seems to be a lot of trauma with feet trims but she's made a lot of progress), and does not like to leave the trailer once loaded (been working on her with this and she has gotten a lot better). We have used her for 4H for halter classes and still currently showing her, and we will continue to work with her on her issues while she is posted. She really is a sweetheart and I think she could make an excellent broodmare. UTD On feet and vaccines, will have teeth floated as soon as our dentist can make it out here.
