Available on consignment: 2004 Dun Registered Curly draft gelding. Greyling stands approximately 15.2 hh and is looking for his forever home. Trail season is in full swing and this guy would make a perfect trail mount for the right person. Don’t let his age fool you - he is healthy, sound, and a super easy keeper with years to go. Lives outside 24/7 but will come in a stall, ties well, picks up all 4 feet, saddles nicely. Up to date on cares, current coggins. Goes english or western, has been ridden in a sidepull most of his life but has gone in a snaffle and shanked bit for shows. Does ok trailering alone(great with a buddy) - a little nervous but happy to jump a trailer that is not tiny. Loves water, bathes, good for vet & farrier, good with fly spray, LOVES to be doted on. This guy is easy to catch, in your pocket, and just a lover. He is sensitive in how he is treated so if you’re looking to manhandle him or be rough, this is not the horse for you(he loves kindness, don’t we all?). He is top dog in the pasture so would do best with non-confrontational horses. His place to shine is on the trail. More woah than go, definitely on the lazy side but covers ground well. He will ride out alone with some motivation but really shines in a group. Happy to follow or be the leader and doesn’t really care how far behind his buddies are. Traffic/road safe, goes over branches, through thicket, etc. Great with children as he is quiet and doesn’t get worked up, his few and far between spooks are incredibly mild, but because of his size, he should be supervised. Was used in a horse program for youth most of his life. Loves to walk and has a beautiful trot but he is not an enthusiastic guy about cantering and will do what he can to get out of it- ideally would do best with someone who wants a walk/trot mount.
