APHA registered Midnight Icicle "Ms. Larry": 8-year-old project horse with potential Ms. Larry is an 8-year-old mare with a lot of potential for the right rider. I have known her since she was a yearling, and has been in my care for almost 3 years, during which time she has shown great progress in both Western and English riding disciplines. Larry excels in showmanship and ground work, and she has experience with equitation, pleasure, and some pattern work. However, Larry is not a beginner's horse. She requires a confident and experienced rider who can provide her with a consistent job. While she stands well for grooming, trailers, ties, and listens to cues on the ground, she can be a bit challenging under saddle. Larry occasionally exhibits some resistance when first tacked up, and she struggles with transitioning to the canter, sometimes displaying crowhopping or resistance until she gets going. With regular work and the right guidance, Larry could excel as a trail horse or continue to develop her skills in the arena. She is smart, spirited, and eager to learn, but she needs someone who is willing to put in the time and effort to bring out her full potential. Larry is up-to-date on her vaccinations and has had her teeth done two years ago. She has good feet that are regularly trimmed, though she may need shoes if she has a demanding job. I have complete vaccine records and her papers available for review. I am looking for a loving home for Larry, where she will receive the care and attention she deserves. My asking price is $6,500 or best offer. Serious inquiries from experienced riders only, please.
