Pixie is an 11 year old grade paint pony mare. She stands 13.3 hands and has one beautiful blue eye and one brown. She is up to date on shots, worming, teeth, and her feet look great and are done every 8 weeks. Vaccination record will go with her. She is currently on alfalfa and grain. No maintenance or soundness issues. Was seen by the vet on May 1st and is healthy as can be.
Pixie loves the trails and will go wherever you take her - up and down the terrain and through water. Loads and hauls no problem - hops right in the trailer and stands tied.
She does best with a confident rider that isn’t afraid to make a pony listen. A rider with some experience or even working with a trainer would be ideal. She is your typical pony and will try to get away with as much as you will let her.
Pixie is a sweet girl, gets along great in a herd or is fine by herself. Her current rider is outgrowing her and has worked endlessly with her - taking her on countless trail rides, doing ground work, going to clinics and going to shows. Pixie recently went to a show and placed grand reserve in showmanship and pleasure and second place in equitation. She was calm and collected the entire show from start to finish. Her trot is super smooth and easy to sit. She will ride in a snaffle, halter, or bosal. Rides English or western.
She is low in the pecking order and is just happy to be fed, ridden, and loved on.
Pixie is looking for a kid that wants to ride her and spend time loving on her. A good home is most important to us. We have space for her and will keep her if the right home doesn’t present itself, but she deserves to be loved on and ridden by a horse kid of her own!
