Gaspara is a 2013 15.2H 1/2 PRE 1/2 Swedish Warmblood gelding. Gaspara has had a later start in his training. He is a naturally talented horse who has the aptitude to be a straight dressage horse, but is a very athletic, natural jumper. He is very honest and brave to the fences, and has a steady cadence that would translate well as a jumper or an eventer. With very comfortable ground covering gaits, Gaspara is on the quieter side, but not a push ride. He knows basic lateral movements, is learning to become lighter off the aids, and carry himself into a steady connection. On the ground he can be pushy testing his boundaries. He is best suited for a confident AA in a program or a trainer looking for a quality horse on a budget to finish. He is good for the vet/farrier, sound, and an easy keeper requiring no maintenance. Gaspara is out of the approved Swedish Warmblood Class I mare, Griffin, who is out of the Diploma mare Grete. A daughter of Maraton, the sire of the Premium Elite show jumping champion, Magini. Griffin's sire Laylock was a member of the Gold Medal Team at the North American Young Rider championships, a Silver Medalist at the 1989 Olympic Festival and was on the USET Longlist for 4 years. Sire of 3 approved breeding stallions and 3 Diploma mares. His sire, Gaspari competed at the Tokyo Olympics. Gaspara is by the PRE stallion Decoroso SMDR of the Terry-Bocado Royalty bloodlines tracing back to 1832. Decoroso has over 40 Championship titles including USDF Grand Prix Champion; USEF Pin Oak Charity Champion Show Hack; ANNCE and IALHA Best Stallion Confirmation; USDF Horse of the Year and many more. Has produced multiple dressage champions.
