‘Mojo’ is a former Amish, approximately 13y/o, spotted draft horse looking for a special home. I purchased Mojo because of his lovely gaits hoping he could be my next dressage project to bring up the levels. Mojo has competed first level dressage and began schooling 2nd level work (lateral work is easy for him) but then faced a slew of bad luck. He is confirmed PSSM1 but easily managed with diet (most draft horses live with 1 copy of PSSM1). Mojo has also had EPM but was treated for 4 months and is clear now. Most recently, Mojo has been diagnosed with minor kissing spine. We have injected 3 vertebrae in his back but he will need at least 3 more injected and someone willing to take time to rehab him and build his topline back up if he were to return to upper level work. He is ONLY sound WTC on robaxin twice daily at this time until his back gets stronger however he will hack out on a trail or hang out with kids as a therapy animal all day long. He will start arena work with a hump in his back. Surgery is also an option. He is UTD on vaccines and can live barefoot in and out. He eats only beet pulp and a ration balancer. He most recently rode in a clinic with Lendon Gray and a 14 year old rider so the potential is still there but he needs time and patience and a person dedicated to him. Unfortunately I have other horses and commitments and just can’t give him the time he needs. He would also excel as a liberty horse or doing groundwork and horsemanship.
