Dawg is a 10 year old grade buckskin quarter horse gelding, that stands 15.1 hands high. Needs experienced rider, as he still has some occasional buck in him. We purchased Dawg two years ago advertised and shown in videos as a well trained horse. The reason we are selling him is we are a 67 year old couple who wanted a well trained horse for us and our granddaughter to trail ride, and whatever else we decided to do. The first attempt to ride Dawg, he started bucking when my husband got on him. We are getting “up there” in age, and neither one of us are up for a project horse. About a year ago, we hired a well known, reputable, horse trainer, Jessie Johnston in Polson, Montana, to work with Dawg for about 4 months. Jessie said he just needs someone with experience to put the time in and he will be a great horse. Dawg has not been ridden since that time, and we want him to go to someone who knows what they are doing and will give him a great home. Other Professional Training has been done by who we purchased him from: Steve Rattan Performance Horses, out of Weatherford,Texas. Dawg has the potential to be finished however you want. We understand he spent most of his life working on a ranch, spent a good amount of time in back pens at cow sales helping sort and push. Most recently, Dawg drove cattle while putting in training time with Jessie Johnston. He is smart, has a lot of speed, and is very athletic. There are no health issues. This horse is very sound. He is easy to catch. Puts head into the Halter. Stands tied very well. Not barn sour. Loads great in trailer. Stands for farrier. Enjoys grooming. Leads excellent. Has good strong feet.
