Always wanted a paint? Here is a chance to own a wonderful and handsome paint gelding. Boomer is a very pretty 4 year old paint grade gelding and stands at 15. 1 hands and will still grow given his young age. He has a stocky and solid build. Boomer is a very gentle and friendly horse. He is used to being around kids, adults and lots of different animals. He is a huge cuddle bug and loves to be loved on and be around people. He stands to be groomed and bathed and just loves the attention. He is also great for vet and farrier. Everybody loves him.
Boomer is a very quiet horse and has been started under saddle here with us. He has been a joy to work with and easy to teach. Anything new to him that we have introduced, he has met with curiosity not fear. Boomer has been ridden Western English and bareback and has been on lots of long quiet trail rides, up and down hills, through water, down ravines, through woods and open fields with cattle. He rides out with other horses or alone. Boomer is a unique young horse in that he is very safe out in the country given his young age.
We have exposed him to anything we could think of such as dogs, cars, tractors, atvs, tarps, a ball, umbrella, poles, cattle, ongoing construction on our ranch… Boomer is a very kind, honest and trusting gelding with a great disposition.
Boomer is a nice light ride and has retained a soft mouth since we start our horses under saddle with a halter and then transition to a soft bit. He is a quiet ride but moves off your leg with ease and you won’t have to ask him twice for anything. He has a natural nice headset and relaxed back with a natural steady rhythm and good balance. His gaits are flashy making him a prospect for the showring with further training. He has also been started neck reining.
Boomer is overall a very respectful and well-behaved horse. He is very willing to do anything he is asked. His sweet personality and young age will make him bond easily to his new owner and he would make a great addition to any family looking to grow with a young horse. Boomer will stand tied all day if you ask him to and he stands to mount and at the mounting block for you to mount from either side.
