Flashy, fancy, and safe! Kevin is a 2015 APHA registered 15.2H gelding that packs a great 3 day eventing resume! With the cutest little snip on his nose, 4 high stockings, and an adorable personality. Kevin sports a reliable “been there done that” type of mentality, and enjoys pleasing his rider.Ridden English & Western – this paint gelding has dabbled in just about everything under the sun. He LOVES trail riding and is confident by himself or in a group. Not much bothers this guy - he enjoys going through water, traveling to new places, pushing cattle down the fence, etc. If he ever startles at something that pops up from the bushes, it's a small spook in place and then he carries on about. He could care less about the tarp being draped all over his head and body and banners and such on the arena fence. Rough terrain does not bother him and he never says no when being asked to try new things. My obstacle course was a breeze for this guy, as he stepped up and across the bridge with ease, and navigated over logs swiftly. He will neck rein wonderfully, moves off leg, and rides around quietly on a draped rein too. In Tennessee he competed starter level eventing, jumping comfortably at 2.3-2.6, and schooling first level dressage maneuvers. He has a cute trot, comfortable canter, and is very adjustable going around. Snaffle mouthed, not a strong ride, comes right back to you. Listens to your seat / voice. Happy and willing to go forward, but not something you have to waterski behind the reins on, perfect balance between a go and whoa ride. Absolutely no buck/rear/bolt. The type you can pull out of the pasture, saddle up, and go! We hauled him off property to do a jump school and he unloaded off the trailer with no lunge prep and went straight to work. He is easy and uncomplicated to jump - truly a very fun horse to cruise a course around on! His owner did many dressage clinics, off property schooling, shows, and trail rides with friends with him. Whilst he has a green flying change, he can land his leads almost every time. He has no vices, respectful in a stall, minds his business in the pasture, and walks right up to you in the field. The only quirk I can put on him is he sometimes tilts his head and plays with the bit whilst going around on a loose rein, totally just his goofball personality. Loads / unloads, clips, ties, bathes, great for vet/farrier. Kevin would suit a rider that wanted to do some western dressage, eventing, trail riding, or even play around at some local ranch riding shows. He is certainly versatile, adjustable, and very kind. He has a full comprehensive PPE on file, with current clean radiographs for your convenience. Good feet angles, easy keeper, zero maintenance, and is UTD on shoeing, dental, chiro, vaccines, deworming etc.
