Navi is a 2018 Mesa Verde Mustang Mare. She has been out of the wild for about 18 months and I have all her information—she is a National Parks Mustang and not a BLM Mustang, so she is not freeze branded. She is well built, has good confirmation, excellent feet, and is a big girl for a Mustang (likely some draft in there). Stands about 14.3. Navi is tame, gentle, and has had EXTENSIVE ground work done. She lunges walk/trot/whoa both directions by voice and is starting to canter reliably on line. She yields her HQ and FQ, side passes easily both directions and backs up beautifully. She ground drives, ponies, trailers, ties, and is very desensitized—not much spooks her. She has been saddled many times and ridden some at the walk but she is NOT selling as broke. She’s had at least two foals (one in the wild and one in captivity that was weaned late 2023) and is a wonderful mama. She is middle of the herd and very socially savvy. Easy to catch, halter, handle, and doctor. Stands for the farrier and is up to date on all cares—feet and vet work. Teeth done this spring as well. I am selling because I am in my 40s and too timid in the saddle to finish her. She can be stubborn and needs a confident, firm leader, but she is not mean spirited. I can be plenty firm on the ground, but I am not as confident in the saddle and am too afraid to push her. She is a beautiful mare and will make someone a wonderful partner, but I have come to understand that I’m not 20 anymore and I need something more broke. Navi would excel in Western Dressage, Working Equitation, Ranch Versatility (She has been exposed to cattle), would make an excellent trail mount, or could easily clean up at local all around shows.
