Proudly offered for lease (would consider sale under right circumstances, though lease preferred), “Novella,” AKA Luna, is a 4 year old 16.2 OTTB. She is big bodied (think warmblood-esque) and a lovely floaty mover with a huge stride. She’s being brought along slowly and correctly with plenty of time to let down from the track. She is now going quietly WTC and over polls, starting over fences soon. When I bought her off the track, the seller told me that Luna once broke from the gate at a walk and that’s how she knew she was not destined to be a race horse. I’ve come to believe this story the longer I’ve had Luna as she is SO quiet. Definitely more woah than go, though once you get her going she does sustain herself—she’s not one you have to fight with to keep going. She has the sweetest in your pocket personality that has made her a true barn favorite with the vet, the farrier, my non-equine inclined brother, and more. I think she could easily turn into an amazing eventer given her physicality and curiosity. But she’s also comfortable and floaty enough to be your next hunter/eq mount. She is a baby and she is big so I don’t want her to go to a dead beginner. But this horse is so willing and quiet, she’s going to be a lot of fun. Not a mean or careless bone in her body. She also hauls well, cross ties, is great for the vet and farrier. Easy easy keeper— right now, she’s barefoot, though as her jumping increases, I’d probably pop some front shoes on. No vices!
