Hot Tamale is sometimes sweet, sometimes spicy, and will be the perfect partner for a small adult or teen, middle schooler. I would still consider her not finished, but not green. 120 professional days last year and just completed 30 days with a talented teen to put patterns on her. She’s a large pony, I suggest a 150lb weight limit for safety. This girl’s got grit, and she will be the ride-or-die partner for the girl or lady who has grit, determination, and a kind hand to match. Solid groundwork, lovely walk/trot/canter (SO SMOOTH!), neck reins and gas basics of barrels and poles (she has a preference for poles.) A dressage or eventing prospect as she beautiful movement, loves to jump and has excellent body awareness (read: will bail you out of a sticky distance or bad takeoff) -UTD on vax, farrier, worming, bathes, ties, loads. I’ve done all the work, but she’s too small for me to keep as a personal horse (I am a BIG GURL) and too green for my five year old to ride solo (and that’s all he wants to do now!) He does handle, groom, and cool her out with me, so she isn’t “hot” or dangerous, and you can trust your experienced teen, pony clubbed, or middle schooler on her if they’re working with a trainer. 3 solid and comfortable gaits. All the basics solid and firmly installed. Professional handling and starting, with an experienced 15 year old patterning her and legging her up for the last 30 days. Loves to jump, definitely has a future as a pony jumper or eventer! Lesson pony? Given more time and seasoning, I would say yes. She ADORES little children and has no vices on the ground. Quick and catty, an OHSET competitor would go far with this little firecracker! Smart, and safe on the ground, gets along with pasture mates and is the bottom of the pecking order. Good home a must, Price negotiable, willing to consider a 1 year lease
