Okko is a 10 year old registered apha gelding. Okko is best suited for an intermediate or above rider as he will spook occasionally (rare, but has) and just needs a rider to be present versus a “passenger” he is the perfect amount of sensitive and responsive. He has a solid walk trot lope, neck rein, stop and back. Rides a lot off your body and legs, two tracks, pivot, disengages hip and shoulders soft vertically and laterally. Rides in anything a snaffle or curb or halter. Great on trails more forward walk does best in the front but will stay in the back or middle, he’s typically the confident lead horse we put him in the front the most. Good going up and down mountains & hills, steep inclines, narrow trails. Trailers good, loads good. Good ground manners. Always up to date on shots, farrier & dental work. Healthy & Sound! Hes done a lot of camping and has been trail ridden in Wyoming, Big Horn Mountains, North Dakota, Medora, all over MN, Cut Foot Sioux. Okko would excel in the all around classes as a 4-h horse for a confident teen. He would be a good gamer with some pattern work but would also be easy to send towards the western and English pleasure classes. He is a solid thick boy standing at 15.2hh (the perfect husband sized horse). He’s friendly in the pasture generally gets along with everyone very easy to catch stands tied quietly no matter how long you leave him.
