12 year old gelding pony. Colby has been used in both the pasture and the arena. He has been taken through the barrels and poles, roped both the breakaway sled and the team roping sled on both ends, and roped some calves in the pasture. He has a big, nice stop! He loves being trail rode and will go in any water you ask him to. Colby is small enough for the kids, but big enough to keep up with the big horses all day and even be used by an adult. He would be best suited for an intermediate kid for everyday use, but would do fine for a beginner to ride around or trail ride.
We bought Colby with the intention of turning him into a calf roping pony, but haven’t had the time and have too many big horses to ride. A handy kid could finish him out of the box and be successful!
