Penelope is a 10 year old American Paint Horse. She is a great first horse for those who are looking to trail ride and get used to riding. My daughter used to do Gymkhanas on Penelope but then we noticed some swelling to Penelope's right front suspensory ligament. We got her leg ultrasound and our vet said to not ride her for a year, which we did. It has been about 1 1/2 years since our first ultrasound and we had other ultrasound done about 4 months ago and our vet said that her ligament making progress. Now, Penelope is an amazing trail horse, kid-friendly, and such an easy going horse. It can take awhile for her to trust new people but once she does, she is willing to follow her leader. She is great in new places with a trusted leader.
