Addie is about 10 years old and 50” (12.5hh). She is UTD on shots/coggins, hoof trim, and had her teeth done last year. She rides English and Western and has a sweet little jump. She is a little bit of a hotrod and would make a super fun fun show pony or jumper. She has very excellent hooves and doesn’t need shoes, and she’s actually pretty fun to trim because she’s flexible, light, and has such nice hooves. She’s trained to lunge by voice command, which I was able to train her to in one session right after I got her. She is super trainable. I was hoping to finish her out for my own kids, but my lack of time has turned into even more of a lack of time, and I’m tired of her wasting away in my pasture. She does have a few quirks, but when she’s worked with regularly, they pretty much disappear. She acts headshy, but is not. I put a fly mask on her every morning and take it off every evening. She bridles just fine. She can be a royal pain in the butt to catch, and I refuse to use treats, but just chasing her a little bit will usually have her coming over to be caught. She doesn’t like to load into a trailer, and will throw a hissy fit, but she is very food motivated, and will always end up loading. She can also be a bit spooky when she’s hot, but handles new situations well. Every now and then she’ll pull back when tied, but a few sessions with a patience pole (which I don’t have) would probably fix it. She’s very trainable. Oh, and she does have a little buck when starting to canter sometimes. But I don’t know a pony who doesn’t. Like I said, she is not finished. She does really well with kids on her back, but she also is quick-footed and super smart, so I would not consider her kid safe by any means. She rides away from a group of horses easily and does not show signs of being barn sour or buddy sour. She is cute and sweet and is a super cute mover. She can be lazy, but also can have a super big motor. If I were a teenager, this pony would be SO much fun for me. In fact, all the teens I’ve put on her have loved her. Kids have loved her, too. I just don’t really trust her with them because she isn’t finished. I do ride her bareback or with a saddle. She’ll come with a fly mask, grazing muzzle, winter blanket (my pasture has no shelter), and an English girth, and maybe some other miscellaneous tack I dig up. Message for more info, pictures, and I have a video of a 5 year old riding her. I’m happy to answer any questions. Price is negotiable and will consider offers.
