Here is a boy who can dabble in every discipline, and look stunning while doing it! If you are looking for a fun horse, that can go english, and western, here he is! Grant is laid back, brave as ever, and loves his people. In the barn, Grant has zero bad habits. He is a mouse in his stall, never asks for anything. He has no bad stall habits, and keeps a neat stall as well! He can live inside, or stay out 24/7. He can go out with a mixed herd or alone, doesn’t get buddy sour and causes no drama. He is easy to catch, and always comes to greet you. He has been turned out with cows and doesn’t care about them. Grant will stand around all day long on the cross ties. He enjoys attention, and is safe for beginners and kids to work with. Grant stands to be groomed, bathed, tacked, loads and trailers great, and he is good for the vet and farrier. He picks up all four feet nicely, and over all is very courteous. Grant has great ground manners, he is gentle in hand, and lunges nicely. On the trails, Grant will lead, follow, go out alone and in groups. He is very brave and willing to cross anything that you ask. He is not spooky in the slightest way, we have encountered deer popping out next to us, vultures fighting in a tree above us, tractors, cars, machinery, flapping tarps, and more. This horse will lead a group through thick and thin. He is safe with dogs riding on his heels. He will climb up and down steep hills without question. On top of it all, this boys loves to splash around in the water, and swim! Grant has been out camping, he high lines well, and stands patiently. He has stamina and can go out trail riding for days in a row. Pack your saddle bags with beer and go enjoy the weekend. Grant crosses water, logs, rocks, and is traffic safe. He takes care of his rider. Grant rides western, english, and bareback. Ride him western and he will go around like a western horse. Ride him english and he will go around like an english horse. He has no preference. Grant is a good combo of whoa and go. He is not lazy, he has a great work ethic, and loves to have a job. With that being said, he can also sit for week, tack up and go, no silly business. Grant would make an awesome hunt horse with how brave and easy going he is. Grant listens well to commands, and he is soft in your hands. He is responsive, and polite. Grant moves off of leg, neck reins, pivots, side passes, frames up, backs up, and has a good whoa. He is responsive to leg, both in an english leg position and western. He knows his job. Grant will work cattle as well. I could see this boy dabbling in everything from dressage, to ranch riding.
