This 17 hand Azteca gelding has many skills and is easy to work with. He is an outstanding trail and ranch horse and will sort or herd cattle. He has been ridden to 12,500 feet in the CO mountains and through FL swamps. Ogon is traffic safe and terrific in parades. He loves to greet children along the parade route. He can be used for English or western riding disciplines and has been shown a little in the past. I have harness fitted for him that can be included, if driving will be pursued. The sire of this gelding is 7 time National Champion and 2 time USEF Andalusian Sire of the Year, Santiago. His dam is a great granddaughter of the quarter horse champion, Boston Mac. I bred Ogon's dam so have owned and loved him his entire life. He has always been and continues to be an excellent horse. My husband and I are downsizing to travel more. We are keeping only our 2 geriatric horses. Ogon is great for any level rider in a trail group but needs an intermediate rider for solo trail riding. Our farrier is glad to talk to serious inquiries about his terrific feet and legs. He goes barefoot unless we are riding very rocky trails for extended periods.
