Katie is a sweetheart and would prefer to be in your pocket (especially if you have treats in it.) I think you could train her to do back flips for a Nicker Maker treat. She's cute, funny, curious, and has a bit of the typical pony mischievousness. She was trained to ride and drive by Leah Peterson of McLeod Creek Farm near McBride Canada who breeds Traditional Shetland Ponies. I imported her to WA for my Grandniece who sadly lost interest in horses if you can believe that. Katie seeks your attention and loves to be handled and stands quietly for brushing, trimming, farrier, harnessing, and general monkeying around. She was well-started for both driving and riding but hasn't been ridden for awhile. Currently in refresher training for driving since she wasn't used much for the last year or so. She's accustomed to dogs, farm machinery, ropes etc. - not much fazes her. She has been driven in a team and with other ponies and carts around. Very good lead line pony for little kids. She has a lot of potential for making an excellent cross-country driving competitor -has enough oomph if you ask for it.. Great mama - has had one pinto foal. And now's the time if you want to breed Traditional Shetland Ponies. UTD on vaccinations, deworming and hoof trimming. Price will increase with more training. Please message me for more pictures.
