Alejondro is an inscribed PRE Andalusian gelding bred by Goodrich Andalusians out of a Jackass Mountain Ranch mare and stallion. Al is one of the kindest, most generous horses that I have ever had the privilege to ride. He makes every effort to please and has an incredible attitude. Al was started lightly as a 4 year old and turned out with the herd for 8 years. (He was "the husband's horse" that never rode) The past 3 years I rode him in the summer only, and mostly on weekends, in the mountains and trails. He has been introduced to steep and rocky terrain, all kinds of water crossings (wood bridges, lakes, creeks and rivers), and wildlife (bear, birds, elk, deer). He has been careful where he puts his feet and is very alert and willing. I have just begun to take classical dressage lessons with him, where he is proving himself a quick study, and he seems to enjoy the work (which is no surprise because Al likes everything and everyone!) He has retained our lessons well when we've had a long gap in between them. Al is a horse with a lot of potential who loves relationship and connection. I have not had the time these last 3 years that I envisioned to spend with him, and now I am going to be a grandma. He deserves a home where he can be developed to his potential and have a partner. His low price does not reflect his potential and quality, only my desire to quickly find a great home for him. Give me a call to find out more!
