Super talented fellow with tons of presence and personality. Has been backed but not currently under saddle. Lunges and long lines. Needs a consistent program and good footing. He will test but once he understands that he has to do the asking, he’s fine. He’s great in his stall, good with the vet, farrier Very curious and sweet. Turns out alone just fine, has been turned out with a young horse and was good. Leads in and out with a loose lead. Super personable. Understands all of the W/T /C, halt / back verbal commands. Has been driven by previous owner. She said he did great but did not stand still at the stop signs, tap danced a bit. My guess is that he would be fine now, he will stand very quietly on the lungeline and while long-lining. His prior life was tough but he seems to not have any issues from that other than being 7 and uneducated. His gaits are amazing; nice flowing walk with a big overstep, floaty and powerful trot and a very uphill canter. I will continue working with him until we find the right home. He’s an amazing horse that really needs a show type home. Jumps like a duck, but would excel at dressage or probably as a CDE horse. I am just a backyard schooling show type. I’ve talked with KWPN-NA, he is able to be registered through them and also with ADHHA. Coggins, vaccines and teeth float done in early spring. Videos on YouTube; just search ‘Hero the DHH’.
