Sneakers is an incredible 5 y/o ready to step into a career. He has a solid walk, trot, and canter, and is currently working more on collecting and starting on flying changes. We’ve jumped over smaller fences, girds, and makeshift cross country jumps, and he LOVES it. While he would excel in any direction, Sneakers would be happiest in a career involving jumping. He is thoughtful and forward to fences and can pull out some tight maneuvering corners when asked. For about two years he was my guide horse leading trail rides and excelled. He has spent countless hours on BLM and forest land with and without other horses, walking, galloping, riding with dogs (on him and running alongside), in a halter, bosal, or bit. He’s the horse I throw my beginner husband on for trail rides because Sneakers is thoughtful, responsive, and reliable. If he does spook, he moves on quickly with a calm and confident rider. He definitely matches energy, so a confident rider would be best. Sneakers never raced, I’m his second owner, he’s never had any injuries, and is currently doing amazing barefoot, though has had shoes. He stands, ties, trailers great, is very polite on the ground, and will pick you up on the fence or mounting block. He has lived in a stall, out in a herd, and in a pasture by himself. He’s seriously an incredible horse and consistently blows me away with his adaptability and ease. Life circumstances are causing me to sell, but I will be very picky where he ends up.
