“Lancelot” is the kindest soul. He is such a precious and affectionate boy and he now is ready for his new family. He stands 15.1hh, and is GVHS registered.
He’s the biggest sweetheart and loves ALL the attention! He’s definitely one of those “in your pocket” geldings, he will lower his big head right into your lap and just soak up every little scratch and kiss.
He is very well mannered and it shows. Gypsy Vanners are the Golden Retrievers of the horse world, and a lot of people consider them “born, broke”, so don’t let his young age of four years fool you, this guy has an outlook on life more like an older retired gelding. He will last you a lifetime of enjoyment.

Very easy and user friendly to ride, Lance makes riding, a dream! His quiet and gentle nature will put you at ease instantly. You can ride him on a big loose draped rein, or gather them up and ride him direct, with more contact. He is comfortable to ride. A beautiful floating trot, and then he will slow back down as you please. His lope is amazing! He is such a beautiful mover, and would EXCELL in the show ring. Whether you choose English or western dressage, ranch pleasure, trail classes or anything else, Lancelot is so versatile, he’s going to wow the judges no matter what.
His favorite speed is slow, he’s definitely more whoa than go, however he has plenty of action and forward movement if you call on him for it. He’s a pretty athletic guy. Be sure to watch his video to see how well rounded he is!! This geldings entire goal in life is to please his rider, and it shows big time. He is so responsive and in tune with you. He is one of a kind, if you’ve shopped around at all- you know how rare that is in a horse.
This is the kind of horse who takes care of his rider, my kids and I are proof of that. My boys have thoroughly enjoyed riding our gentle giant, and the peace of mind I’ve had- knowing that he is trustworthy and reliable, is priceless. We’ve given a few lessons on him, and he is SO patient with kids and beginners.
Lancelot is the most honest of partners, and the most beautiful too. With his long flowing mane and silky feathers, he gets all the attention wherever he goes.
He’s perfect out on the roads with traffic, doesn’t mind any of our crazy farm animals or wild kids. Lol! He’s used to a little ranch work, pushing cows around, some slow roping, etc. He’s chill about whatever new things you might throw at him, and tries his best to please- no matter what!
