Jackson is a gentle giant and gorgeous to boot! Personality plus, kind and friendly, will come to a whistle and literally load himself in a trailer without being caught. Beautiful ground manners, ties, hauls well, good in new places, same horse with time off. Was started and trained at a college horse training program and exposed to many different things. Since has been a ranch horse, roped on outside, in the branding pen and arena, shown by my son in youth stockhorse classes, has been used for working dog trial competitions by myself and others, carried flags, Queen run ins, pulled flanks on bucking horses a few times, play days and lightly patterned on barrels. Jackson is the one I trust to put almost anyone on when an extra horse is needed. Soft mouthed, finished bridle horse. Can’t say enough good things about this guy. He has one small con…..he has a slight fear of cows with calves turning back to fight with my dogs. Just wants to turn away and stay back. Zero buck or bolt. Only on pairs. Otherwise he is very forward and aggressive on cattle, have had him in tight spaces, sorting pairs in the corral, loading bulls in the alley etc. great to use in the gate, will jump right to a cows face and bite them when pushing. I am a prof dog trainer, so that 1 little thing is a problem for me as I need to be able to be able to get close and help young dogs. This is an amazing once in a lifetime horse with many years ahead of him and the ability to go in so many different directions!
