This boy is extremely sweet and naturally athletic! He has a very playful and attention seeking personality. Very laid back and easy going, great ground manners. Very low on the totem pole in the herd hierarchy. Loads perfectly in the trailer and travels well. Ties all day long without being fidgety. Wicked easy keeper- currently on a full forage diet. Solid feet, barefoot and sound. Has spent the last couple months in my program and proven to be a diamond in the rough! Stands for grooming, tacking, mounting, bathing, farrier etc- he’s just happy you’re paying attention to him. Rides English or western. Currently riding in a simple o-ring bit, on contact or on loose rein he does both. Neck reins great, works of seat and leg, backup, roll back, shoulder yeilds, recently learned side pass, etc. No vices, buck, bite, kick, rear, bolt etc- nothing bad. This horse never gets cold backed- Mr. Reliable! You can let him sit for a few weeks and he will be exactly the same as when you put him up. Not very spooky and if he does he comes immediately right back. Good stop- he’s not going to slide or anything but if you ask him to come to you he doesn’t hesitate. 1 rein stop is very well installed also. VERY push button and has a very big powerful stride. So I do recommend an intermediate + level rider- he is a saint but he’s still really big boy and therefore strong. He has an immense amount of natural stamina- he can canter for miles and not be out of breath- shoot IM out of breath before he is! He is athletic enough to do well in any discipline but I personally believe he would especially excel at cross country or something with endurance. He does have the type of personality that would do really well in a lesson program- in which case he would be safe enough to put experienced beginners on under the direct guidance of a trainer.
