Big Blue is a handsome 6-year-old Shetland Blue Roan gelding. He’s one of the coolest-looking ponies we have raised. He has been trained on our working cattle ranch, which has resulted in a highly skilled, gentle, and handy pony. Some of his skills include riding range, moving and sorting cattle, roping and branding, and trail riding. His gentleness and calm demeanor are his most valuable qualities. We have had every age of children on him, and he takes great care of them all. He stands still when being mounted and moves out when asked. He has a great stop on him. He has been raised around children, other animals, traffic, farm equipment, motorcycles, four-wheelers, bicycles, etc., and is not bothered by any of these things. While calm and well-mannered, he is tough and can pull and work. He easily crosses bridges, climbs mountains, rides trails, and crosses water. He goes and goes without tiring. He has participated in parades, rodeos, and carnivals. He is phenomenal with children- the ultimate pony- he is easy to catch, trim, saddle, bridle, easy to load. We have had many quality ponies come and go on the ranch, but Big Blue is one of a kind.

Big Blue has never foundered and has excellent feet and legs. He lives with other Mares and Geldings and has no problem with other horses. He is currently being ridden in a ring shank snaffle bit, a low port solid mouth bit, or a halter.
