The search for a family-suitable addition stops here! Introducing Oxford, a 3-year-old Brabant gelding, standing 16.3 hands. A kind mind and a gentle soul…he will surely steal the heart of his next partner. Oxford rides English, Western, & bareback! Oxford is an exceptional trail mount. Husband, grandma, youth, knowledgeable child suitable. He is guaranteed to go anywhere you point him. He enjoys water, crossing even the deepest, swiftest water without hesitation. He goes up and down hills, through brush, and easily navigates rough terrain. His slow, calm pace on the trail makes it enjoyable to view the scenery alone or in a group. He has no preference, whether it’s the front or the back of the line. He is not herd-bound. Will peacefully ride away from the group. If you need to make a pit stop, no worries….tell him whoa, throw your reins around the horn, and he’ll wait until you return. Oxford is light in the bridle. He stops, backs, and turns with minimal cue. He lopes collected in both directions on the correct lead. He has proven tolerant of inexperienced rider cues. He is very forgiving and patient. He aims to please. Oxford drives single and double. Stands to harness and hook. He is unbothered by passing traffic, barking dogs, or whatever else he encounters. He is frequently lady-driven. Suitable for carriage rides, wagon trails, or a leisurely Sunday stroll. Oxford has gone through desensitization training. He is accustomed to gunfire. Suitable for hunting by horseback or mounted shooting. He has been exposed and is comfortable around traffic, children, dogs, four-wheelers, tractors, dirt bikes, other livestock, tarps, “the waving man,” and will carry the flag. Oxford stands tied, crossed tied, and stands for bathing. He stands for the farrier; no stocks are required. He can be stalled or pastured with others, in mid-pecking order, and gets along with mares and geldings. Easy to catch. Oxford loads and unloads in a regular-size slant trailer with zero issues. Oxford sells with a Pre-purchase/wellness exam, current coggins, health certificate required for transport, and equine vet verification of age. If you have any other questions, want additional videos, or want to meet Oxford before making him a part of your family, please feel free to reach out!
