“Güey” aka: “Homey”- 15H, 8 year old grade sorrel gelding “Güey” (yes, as in Homey) is as solid no-nonsense and broke as they come. This is literally the exact same horse, every single time, with anyone on him, in all situations. He is solid and steady and has been a ton of miles. He is about as uncomplicated to ride as they come, has a simple one-hand handle, simple point and shoot neck rein, easy style, and a great hard quick stop. Güey has been ridden in town used on the ranch, trail ridden, has been to playdays, ropings, rodeos, and has been in many parades. He hops right on the trailer, stands tied, and enjoys going places. He has good manners on the ground, easy to groom, saddle, bridle, stands like a statue for mount and dismount, walks off quiet on a loose rein, and is happy to leave the barn or ride out alone. Güey gets along well with other horses. He is turned out in a small rotating set of horses right now, and he is never any drama. If you are looking for one to just turnout grab once in a while and be able to enjoy yourself, Güey would be a great fit, he has years and years of miles of experience, and he is still the perfect age and has many years left. Güey is just the right size at 15H, and he is a great build that is stout enough, but still comfy and easy to guide around. Güey was just shod this past week, his teeth were also done by an equine dentist last week, and he had his sheath cleaned, his ears treated for ticks, and he was also power packed wormed. He is good to shoe, has great feet and also goes well barefoot - if his new owner prefers him to be barefoot, we can have his shoes pulled and trim him prior to him heading to his new home. He will arrive at his new home up-to-date and ready to go to work!
