Lucy is a 5 year old, 14.3 Grade Appendix Mare, ready for the next chapter in her life.

Lucy has a solid foundation and is SAFE. She is easy-going and has the temperament, work ethic and athletic ability to go in any/many direction(s)! She is versatile and willing to please. Solid WTC, backup, moves off leg.

WHAT SHE HAS DONE: local open horse shows; obstacle events; rounding up cattle; ridden Western, English and bareback; natural horsemanship/round pen work; trail riding alone or with large or small group; ridden through water/streams/Shenandoah River; jumped up to 2’6” (btw, Lucy loves to jump!)

Very friendly in your pocket type personality; she’s the first to come up to you in the field. Easy to catch, loads, leads, ties and stands for farrier. She has very smooth gaits, will go on a loose rein, and has begun some basic collection. She would suit riders from an intermediate or above, teenager graduating from a pony, to a small/medium adult who wants a “do-everything” best friend for any type of riding you could dream up.
