Stella was purchased by her current owner as a weanling from Little River Friesians and offered a slow and kind upbringing. She was raised on acreage with other horses and received daily attention and routine care. This slow and steady introduction to life’s expectations set her up for a seamless transition into my program and her life as a riding horse.
With a sweet temperament, level head and three good gaits, Stella shows promise as a dressage horse but also has the ability to excel in Working Equitation, Equine Trail Sports, or Cowboy Dressage.
This mare has no vises or behavioral issues. She loads with ease, travels well, bathes, clips, ground ties and cross-ties. She is good for the farrier, and adapts to new environments well. She has successfully lived out with both mares and geldings and is not your typical “mare.”
Known for her striking appearance, Stella even had a modeling gig and is a favorite among those who visit the property.
I am currently four months pregnant and she is the one I look forward to riding as she is not only fun, but makes me feel very safe. Never bucked, reared, bolted, kicked, or bitten. She will fall behind your leg before getting ahead of it; however, she is not one I would describe as dull or lazy.
Stella's potential will be actualized with the right rider, whether a young professional or confident amateur, who can bring out her best qualities through a positive and consistent training program.
