Batman’s Jackrabbit is a 6yr old Missouri Foxtrotter gelding that was born and raised here in Wichita Falls Tx on the 4Ps Ranch.
This quiet and extremely athletic gelding stands 14.1 1/2hh and has the confirmation of a Quarter Horse and the size that a person who has trouble mounting will love!! His disposition is friendly and he really tries to get along with everyone. We have used him many many weeks at the local sale barn pushing and sorting cattle because he is one of our most trusted mounts when it comes to going to work. You can know for sure when you give this guy a job he is in it for the long haul. Jackrabbit has been trail ridden, done regular ranch activities, been desensitized to traffic, tarps, whips, flags, cattle, gathering loose horses and the miserable heat here in July in North Texas.
Not only is he gorgeous, he has a nice little flat foot walk and will have more whoa than go. I would not give this horse to a beginner or extremely inexperienced rider yet at this time, but he is well on his way to being that trusted partner that anyone can ride. His disposition is one to be desired. He neck reins and gets off leg pressure, side passes, opens gates with ease and backs with his head low and canters. There is no buck or rear and bolt. When he sees something he looks and hesitates and lets you know that there is something that he may not be for sure about. If that happens, show him with confidence and trust and he will respond with willingness.
If you’re looking for a horse that is ready to hit the trails today and can handle long rides in any type of weather then Jackrabbit is your guy. He has never had a set of shoes on because he has the BEST feet of any horse we've ever raised. They never chip or crack EVER and our farrier says he has phenomenal feet!
