Susie is an awesome 12 year old 15 hand stocky built quarter horse mare. Susie has superb manners and is extremely polite in every aspect. She’s a dream for the farrier and is very quiet being groomed, bathed, saddled and has superb manners in and out of the barn. Susie will tie absolutely anywhere, including cross ties, side of the trailer, wash rack, and anywhere you would like to stop in town whether it be for lunch or talk to friends. Susie will turn out alone or with other and she minds her own business never yells for others or acts foolish when her field partner leaves. She respects absolutely all of my fence, including one strand nylon wire. Shes an easy keeper and has a beautiful build. When riding and driving around traffic she won’t bat an eye at any traffic. Susie will swim in the pond, walk through and creek and will even stand patiently in the pond if you decide to jump off and go for a swim. Driving is pleasure with Susie she will quietly walk along to the point you can set the reins down and relax. When asked she will pick up a stead easy trot and stays in it until asked to slow down. When asked to whoa Susie will stand all day without getting impatient. Susie will listen to voice commands walk, trot or back. She will also walk up to you in the pasture to shorten your walk to catch her. Susie is extremely well-behaved in new situations and being hauled out to new places to ride. She does not get anxious or nervous at all. If you are looking for extremely safe, well mannered, and a delight to be around and ride. Susie is your girl. She is currently shod all the way around due to driving on the road and gravel. Susie is used to children and is extremely careful and sweet with them.
