“Frisco” is affectionate and gregarious. He is often the first horse to meet you in the pasture and will follow you all around. He’s solid broke but needs more polish and handle. He is good about learning and adapting but can have a stubborn streak where he will push around a green rider. Does well on the trails and will go out on his own with an experienced rider. Lazy in an arena setting but safe. He needs to develop balance for turns and circles and what leads are. He was ponied all over as a youngster and recently did well when the rolls were reversed and he was asked to pony our older QH mare for younger riders. He’s also ridden double with no complaints.
We were hoping Frisco would be a good mount for our older kids but they don’t want to step up beyond a “point and go” horse that just does what is asked. Frisco needs someone to take the time to finish him. This is a really nice horse that needs just a few more miles to develop into the high dollar horse he could be.
UTD on vax and Coggins, 24/4 rough board and holds his weight just fine. Has never needed shoes.
