Red had his first 60 days under saddle last fall with Sliding G Performance Horses (Custer, SD). I’ve been riding him this spring and summer, but not as consistently as I’d like. Moves off leg and seat, starting to neck rein, gives in the bridle, and stops well. Loads, clips, bathes, good for farrier, stands tied. I’ve ponied him a lot since he was a yearling and started ponying off him this year, too. Excellent ground manners. Even started in showmanship. UTD on vaccinations, teeth floated 5/2. Sound, always been barefoot. Rides in snaffle, with or without spurs. Red is ready to go in any direction. He’s been exposed to gun fire, fireworks, vehicles, dirt bikes…nothing gets him too excited. With miles and hauling, I think he’ll make someone a great performance horse! He does need an experienced rider as he’s athletic and quick, NOT a deadhead. I bought Red as a yearling but just don’t have enough time for him. He’s enrolled in the AQHA Ranching Heritage Program.
