Phoenix is a 10YO Quarter Horse Pony. She’s sitting at about 14.1hh, and I am selling her as grade although both parents are registered AQHA.
I have owned Phoenix since she was 11 months old. She is incredibly intelligent. She has had extensive groundwork done, and at one point I had started her under saddle. (Dressage)
I became disabled and had to stop riding several years ago, but decided to keep her as a companion for my gelding who is old. Therefore she has not been ridden/sat on or worked with in some time.
She should be considered green/unbroke.
I cannot tell you everything I have done with her as I have memory loss as a result of my disabilities, but I know I put a lot of time in with her on the ground, ponied her on trails and did a little walk/trot under saddle.
I am CONFIDENT that this pony could easily go in any direction someone wanted. She is smart, has a lot of drive, would be a good athlete and is willing to learn.
She is rusty, but she does stand when tied/bathe/picks feet up and will load. Lunges both ways, has a great whoa but needs work on canter transition.
She has been stalled before and kept in pasture-will happily do either.
She loves her pasture buddies but IS at the TOP of the pecking order usually.
She has never been injured other than when she was bit on the hip as a baby before I got her, the scar healed and the hair grew over. It is slightly visible but causes no harm.
Phoenix is a VERY easy keeper, she would never need grain if she had access to forage.
