He currently stands a little over 15 hands tall on a keg shoe and growing bigger and taller every day. I purchased this beautiful boy last September and in October I formally started breaking and training Scout. Scout has been started the right way. I’ve taken things gentle and slow with him from the start. Scout has been one of if not the most sensitive and easy to train colt I’ve started. Scout has never given me any trouble with anything I’ve asked of him, he meets a new challenge or trick head on and is willing to learn! Scout has been extensively trail ridden all over south Kentucky. He is a great trail horse. I’ve never seen a creek or river too deep or a hill too steep for him. Do not point his head anywhere you don’t want to go. Even though he’s only 2 years old, Scout does everything an aged horse is supposed to do. Scout stands great for the farrier, takes a haircut and bath, he will stand quietly tied all day long. Scout will walk onto any kind of trailer or vehicle and hauls quietly when he is loaded. Scout is a perfect gentleman around the barn. On most days you’ll never know he’s in the place! Scout stands great to mount, he will park out, bow down, has been driven in a cart, has had .22 rifle shot from him on several occasions. Scout also is not traffic shy, boogery or nervous out on the trail even when we’ve jumped up wildlife like turkeys and deer! Scout has a very chill and laid-back demeanor, especially for his age. After only 15 rides, I felt confident enough in him to take him to our annual Christmas parade, and he did his absolute best. Scout is fine around dogs and other horses on the trail, he’s calm enough to fall right in the back of the pack and walk on a loose rein. He’s also a confident enough horse that if you ask him to lead, he will step up and be a great lead horse all day. He has a smooth four beat flat walk and running walk that he can ride you comfortably all day, or if you prefer to step up and saddle, he will come on up to a four beat saddle gait. Scout has a pretty and stylish enough gait that would do great at your local horse shows! If you love a good slow collected canter, you will enjoy cantering Scout. He does a great smooth and slow canter that anyone riding will love. Scout has a great handle for a 2-year-old gaited horse. He is catching on more each week to neck reining and has been started on side passing, he will also stop and turn on a dime. Scout is up to date on his dental work, he is up to date on shoeing, has recently been wormed, and I’m selling him a
