Sully is a 10 year old AQHA registered gelding looking for someone who wants to ride, rope and have fun. He lives up to his phenomenal bloodlines too! Sully is easy to handle, honest, kind, and willing to please. He is handy enough for an experienced rider yet patient enough to allow an advanced beginner to learn to rope off of him. Sully is cowy and loves roping, loves being ridden and loves having a job. He will be your go-to partner for ranch work, roping or even showing. Sully is very smooth and consistent to ride and has a natural collection about himself. He picks up both leads no problem and will respond to rider cues easily.
We have owned Sully for two years and have no complaints about him. He is easy to catch in the field, does not mind being stalled or in pasture, can go out with a mixed field and with cattle, stands in cross ties, loads like a champion, is great for the farrier and vet, lunges well, and overall is a very solid citizen. He was purchased for an advanced beginner to learn to rope off of and did that job perfectly. Prior to us owning him, he was used on a large cattle ranch in Missouri where he would be ridden and work cattle all day. Those owners also took him to team roping events where he was started as a head horse and did relatively well. With someone that has time to dedicate to him, this horse has a lot of potential to be a great roping horse for someone.
Currently Sully is barefoot but has been shod with no problems. He is UTD on vaccinations and a Coggins, no maintenance is required for him. Unfortunately due to life events, Sully has been on the back burner and has been sitting for a year, but he is back in work being conditioned and doing great.
