Odin is the uncomplicated husband horse type that is happy to walk down the trail with any level of rider. He will lead or follow, cross water, bridges and has no spook. He will pack your kiddo or your grandma for an afternoon ride twice a week or twice a year and be the same horse. He is currently UTD on vaccines, teeth and worming. He is currently barefoot but wears boots in the front while trail riding. The days of climbing mountains are over for Odin but for light riding and putzing around he is serviceably sound and does well. In his past life when he was being used more he had yearly hock injections. He does just fine with a daily supplement and being out to pasture. Odin has proven himself to be reliable at the famous BCHW winery ride with a non-horsey husband. He is quiet at the ocean, has ridden parts of the John Wayne trail, is not bothered by cars, farm equipment or motorcycles and is generally unflappable. Odin respects fencing, trailers well in any type of trailer and is very easy to travel with. Vices: Odin will crib mildly if stalled but on pasture or with the option of turnout this is not consistent behavior. Odin can get attached to a mare if pastured together and specifically with other geldings present. This guy is a good one and deserves a great home. You won't be disappointed if you meet him. He is being sold because he does love my mare and I do not have the space to keep them in separate fields. Otherwise, he would not be available. Can possibly transport him to western WA (I-90, I-5 Tacoma area and Olympic Peninsula) if needed.
