Introducing Wicked with White, aka Ruhn

Ruhn is a very sweet gelding who requires an experienced handler. He is a bit nervous in new situations and looks to his handler to help give him the confidence he needs so not suitable for an anxious rider. Life took an abrupt turn at the end of May so he has spent some time on the back burner and despite all of my attempts, we just do not mesh. I wish we did as he is a very sweet boy and has so much potential to be a really cool horse.

Ruhn is a horse who enjoys the pampered lifestyle with a stall and all the grooming you're willing to give. He thrives in a busier barn where he can have lots of attention from multiple people. He does not like the country life with 24/7 turnout and is happiest when he has a stall he can escape the heat and flies during the day.

Under saddle, Ruhn is still very green and needs more time and wet saddle blankets. No buck, bite or rear so far. Currently walk-jog as we have been taking it slow since he came to us. He has potential to go any direction you'd like to take him and I think with the right person and time, he'd be quite cute over fences or in the ranch classes. We have not ridden him on the trails, but we have ponied him off another experienced horse and he seemed comfortable and crossed water well.

In hand, Ruhn is respectful of your space once he knows that you expect it of him. He crossties, bathes, and hauls well. He seems to adapt to new environments well despite his nervousness. His largest con is that he is very fearful of farriers. With this, Ruhn needs a patient farrier and a handler that can work through his fear. It appears to mostly center on the smell within the chaps and hoof stand. Ideally, he would go to a busy barn where he can regularly be around one or more farriers for exposure.
