Chaco is a seven year old gelding with looks similar to a Kiger Mustang. He's athletic and in your pocket. I've ridden him mainly on trails, on all sorts of terrain, taken him camping in the wilderness and worked him on day-long cattle gathers. He is extremely smooth and can long trot all day. He takes the go cue quickly and will stop and turn with slight seat and leg pressure. He rides front, back and middle with no argument. And, he rides out alone with no hesitation. He loads and shoes easily and stands quietly for saddling and grooming. He is not the alpha in my herd of three, preferring the middle or bottom position. Chaco is very good with dogs, does not kick or bite, even with a cattle dog jumping on his tail. He likes to be around people and is very companionate and curious. He can be sensitive and needs an experienced rider who can ride him regularly. With three rides a week he knows his job and moves forward with confidence, even on rough terrain and by himself.
