Captain is a complete doll, I’ve owned him since he was four and have had a hard time wanting to part with him. He’s a 7 yo Dutch Harness Horse / Percheron cross that’s placed very well in Cowboy Dressage, won in the bit I’ve put him in hunter on the flat classes and rides like a dream for beginner riders and up. He’s the one to go to if you want a horse that tries his heart out every ride and is sound physically and mentally if you ride him five days a week or once a month. He has won me the Open virtual Cowboy Dressage buckle and has loads of potential for dressage, fox hunting, all breed ranch riding and being somebody’s new best friend. Has a lovely half pass, opens gates, helps me start colts, trail rides, crosses water, can be ridden in a snaffle, bridle, or bridle-less. For as much as can be said about how great he is to ride, twice as much can be said for truly what an endearing guy he is. Anywhere he goes he catches eyes and has loads of charisma. Has been kept in stalls and pastures and does completely fine either way, no bad habits whatsoever. Has been 100% sound barefoot or shod, never any injuries.
