Maple is recovering from a torn suspensory and medial seismoid break (which could potentially be an old injury) so she will not vet clean, price is reflective of this. She's had laser and shockwave treatment plus 5 months of stall rest. She has not been rechecked, but can share the X-rays and ultrasound that was done in February. Because of this you will not be able to ride her or lunge her to try her out and I do not have current videos. She also has PSSM. She has tied up 3 times in the 5 years I have owned her and it was before I knew she had PSSM. She's been easy to manage with diet and exercise. She gets 1 flake of alfalfa twice a day plus flax oil, magnesium and a vitamin e supplement. No injections, lasix or other maintenance. Prior to her injury she was being used for barrel racing and trail riding. She was running 3D/4D consistently and has placed in the 2D, but I am not an aggressive enough rider to keep her there consistently. She walks in and out of the arena flat footed. My 3 year old has ridden her immediately after I have run her on barrels and she was great. We have also used her for leadline for my daughter at barrel races. Truly the easiest mare. She has been trail ridden all over and gone through water. She will stop and look at something if she is unsure, but no bolt/rear/buck. Fancy broke and super soft in her mouth. She was roped on before I bought her and I have sorted on her so she could go that direction as well. Clips/trailers/ties. Has all 4 shoes on right now and is good for the farrier. Has been hauled alone and with others. She does not get buddy sour. Would excel with a Jr. Rodeo kid or as a 4-H horse. She just needs someone to bring her back slowly after her injury and then she will be good to go!
